Black Holes by Isaac Asimov

Black Holes by Isaac Asimov

How did we find out about Black Holes by Isaac Asimov is a book all about the discovery of Black Holes.

It is a marvelous little book, outlining the relevant advances in astrophysics from 1848 (the first evidence of
white dwarf stars observed by Friedrich Bessel) to the early 1970s and the first supposed discovery of a black hole, an x-ray source known as Cygnus X-1.

The writing is concise, clear, and utterly gripping.  An enjoyable read, even though it is a children’s book!
